| High Five with.....Steph Montana |
| 2008-08-05 |
Hello, this is Homer Dalort. Today, High Five with... will talk with Steph Montana, the starting quarterback of the Spiderpigs. Hello Steph, how do you feel after the hurting start of the team? Hi Homer, I am very upset by our poor level of play these last two games, especially regarding the turnovers. Our rushing game is quite a bit under its real level, regarding the last season, but I also think Def Deizen needs to improve his carrying ability. Maybe I could buy him a pair of new.........hands. But, I don't worry about our future: the team is good, we lost these two games by a small margin. we will rebound very quickly. What does the team need if they want to win more games? More luck, I think. These two games were very close games. More hands for our WR and RB. If you know a store where we can buy them some good ones, I would really appreciate. We also need to put more pressure on the opposite Qb. Passrushing is our weakness. And, maybe a little more depth on the backfield. How is the locker room chemistry? Is there any grumbling players there? There is no problem in the locker room. All the players are looking in the same direction. We all know that we need to stay focused on our play. But, it's true, these two loses were really hard to accept. By the way, we still have our diva: but we like him like this, so......
How do you see your season, in a personal matter? Will you do better than last season? (3,272.5 yards, 21 TD, 13 interceptions, 85.4 QB rating). My goal is to improve my personnel stats if I can. But, if my results are not better than last year, it's not a problem if we win. The start is a little bit better than last year for me. so, I hope reaching the 4000 yards mark. Outside football, what are your occupations? My fans, especially the female ones. Thanks a lot Steph, good luck for the season! You are welcome, Homer! And see you again after our win at the GB Bowl. |

| Fourth season, Week 2 - Labrador Retrivers |
| 2008-08-04 |
What's going wrong ? An one point lose 16-17...
2 games. For an incredible 0-2 start, thing we have never seen at Springfield. Duke made a great game catching 15 balls for 168 yards, Diva Leb kicked for 3/3, we made 130 more yards than Labrador but NO!!! We still manage to lose this game. Sure they were favorite on the paper but we could have defeat them. Tom Barnam was so tired, someone must tell him that holidays are over. Same thing happened to Sam Excite, who has played only ONE snap. I hope the guys will have their first win next week. Springfield is a Diesel and they will be ready for the playoffs.

| Fourth season, Week 1 - At Montreal Royale |
| 2008-08-02 |
It will be hard...
First game and first loss. The coaches announced that it should be an easy game but our guys haven't shown the level they played in the playoffs. Springfield made a mistake for their first game and a playoff berth will be very hard to get this season. Another defeat against an 'outsider' would be dramatic for some players...or some coaches...

| Mat Leb interview |
| 2008-05-26 |
Marge Oucreve: Hello Mr Leb, I'm Marge Oucreve, for the Springfield Press. The team has already gained a playoff berth. How would the team play for the last game?
Mat Leb: Just put the ball on the 20 yard line and I'll give them 3 points!
MO: What do you think about this game? Would it be just a kicker duel?
ML: A kicker duel ? A long snaper one, you should say ! But it's going to be a tough one for sure! like a pre postseason game !
MO: How is the locker room actually? Are your teammates happy with the season?
ML: My what ? Teammates ? I've heard by my agent, the best in the market, that they're just trying to piss me off because of a 18 yard missed FG...Can't stand those guys! But they are my family!
MO: You seems to be upset with the missed FG. Do you think it is just because of the long snapper or the holder?
ML: Hmm...tough one. You know, at this position, you have to be over self confident...You know that the result can depend of your foot...So I think it's NEVER my fault...But the wind's one!
MO: Well. About the last game. What do you think about the team performance?
ML: The 69-3 W?
MO: Yes.
ML: Nothing to say about it...They sucked...
MO: It was a great team performance, no?
ML: We played against a pee wee football team! But yeah great performance 9/9 on PAT. BUT!
MO: But what?
ML: I liked the Francois "my man" Kwyetgallery catches! He's a very good LB but he could be a starter in most of the Oceania teams! As a TE!
MO: Your feelings about the playoffs?
ML: Hope we can stay away as long as possible of the Wall Knights. So we have to win the next one!
MO: Do you think the Spiderpigs can win the division title?
ML: Next season? Why not? Our team is improving everyday and if we're active in the off season (keeping our guys and getting some new ones like my brother Gael Leb) we will be competitive.
MO: Your brother is interested in joining the Spiderpigs?
ML: Hmm...You know, it's all about business...Ask our agent about it!
MO: Why are your teammate calling you "The Diva"? ML: (laughing) It's a legend...My agent, the best you can find, wanted the best contract for me when I signed as a rookie. And someone of the team told everyone I was holding out and so on. That's it. But sometimes, I sing in my bathroom!
MO: All right. Any word?
ML: Thank you for coming Marge! Just a question...How are you doing with those hairs???
MO: It's a family secret. Good luck for the next game Mr Leb.
ML: Thanks. |

| Proposed Energy Changes |
| 2008-04-20 |
The main changes will be:
- You will be able to lose up to 40 energy from your energy from one game, instead of 30, if you play a ton of plays and don't have the stamina to keep up. This means you will need to re-think your interpretation of the energy bar. It is meant to be an approximation of your player being worn down over the course of the whole season, rather than a measure of day-to-day rest. You're not going to be able to play 120 plays on hard every week and keep your bar at 100.
- The effect of low in-game energy on your performance will be slightly higher than it is now. This effect will be worked in a little slower, so we can watch the results and dial it in to the right amount, and to give you a little time to adjust.
- XP will be reworked a little to give more XP for fewer plays, but the maximum play cutoff will be lower. You'll still be able to get around the same amount of XP, but you will only need to play 40-50 plays to get it instead of 90. This means backups can get some more XP without "stealing" from your starters too much.
- Energy bars for all players will be reset to 100 at the start of season 2, along with morale bars.
- We will reset team chemistry for all teams to 70/70/70 after week 2 of season 2 has concluded (4 days into the season), to allow you a little time to make the moves you'll need if you want to add depth to your team. Chemistry will not affect in-game performance until then, either.
This basically underscores the need to include some depth on your team. |
